On the Road

After leaving Charleston yesterday we found some interesting roller skiing routs. Santi told me to look for a bike path that wold take me a ways out of the Charleston area. It took me a while to find, so I went on the sidewalk for a while. I think many people were entertained watching me roller ski and trying to dodge the uneven sidewalk sections. I was finally able to find the bike path. I was really excited to ski on this wonderfully paved path and then suddenly it turned to rocky dirt. Have no fear though, thanks to our V2 Terra roller-skis this was not too bad. After a while of skiing on that I decided to trade-off with Santi.

Ready to Ski

Today we had a bright and early morning at 4:45 A.M. and set off to ski by 5:45.Sun is coming up and it looks like it will be a beautiful day in the South.

Beautiful Charleston!

After driving down from Wisconsin and getting to see some family along the way we arrived in Charleston on March 4th. We were welcomed by sunny warm weather to this beautifully historic city. We have had the privilege to stay with Jason Trinklein  at his home not to far from the ocean! While here we were able to stop by some churches to try to spread the word about our journey. We also were introduced to Lauren and Mike Williams and Hannah Mayo.

Off to Ski!

Ready to go!!!

Today, March 7th, 2012 we are off to start the big adventure! Thank you Sunny Charleston  for welcoming us with great weather to begin the journey!!!
